At MassMutual, we host numerous enterprise-wide sessions with leaders and experts on diversity, inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.

We also offer 8 Business Resource Groups (BRGs), representing African Americans, Asians, Latinx, members of the LGBTQ community, individuals with disabilities and their caregivers, armed forces members, veterans and military family members, young professionals and women leaders.

Finally, for diversity to live across an organization, it also needs to live at every level. That’s why we actively pursue workforce diversity, including in our boardroom. More than 50 percent of our Board of Directors is comprised of women and people of color, making it one of the most diverse groups in the industry and among FORTUNE® 500* companies.

We support talent through a number of development programs, including our Data Science Development Program and Data Engineering Development Program.

Our Data Science Development Program was borne out of a partnership with local women’s colleges, and has since boasted over 80% women since inception.

Additionally, we support local and national events to get more people interested in STEM careers. We participate, sponsor, and speak at various conferences like Stat Fest and hackathons like HackHer413, HackHolyoke, and Data Fest.

And while we’re proud of our achievements, we know our work to address inequities and further our progress is never done. Our commitment to getting better is why we’ve signed onto initiatives like the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion and Paradigm for Parity and participate in the Boston Women’s Workforce Council wage gap report.
