At MainStreet we are working on investing in DEI from the start. We are still a very new company & focused on weaving diversity, equity and inclusion in everything that we do! We have a standardized and structured interview process to ensure we’re evaluating candidates objectively based on their performance. All interviewers are required to take unconscious bias training prior to participating in an interview and we are rolling out company-wide DEI training next month. As a remote-first company, our connection points need to be intentional, otherwise employees can easily become “a work resource” and not show their full person. Employees can contribute to slack channels, ask anonymous questions in our all hands meeting or speak up live when they have something on their mind.
