Jamf extends the legendary Apple experience people enjoy in their personal lives to the workplace. Jamf was born from the desire to create a better technology management solution to deploy, update, and track devices for Mac users! Employees have come to expect the same high-quality experience at work as they enjoy in their personal lives, however many organizations rely on legacy solutions to administer Apple devices or simply do not give employees a choice of device at work.

Jamf’s cloud software is the only vertically-focused Apple infrastructure and security platform of scale in the world. We help organizations, businesses, hospitals, schools and government agencies, connect, manage and protect Apple products without ever having to touch the device, a solution that revolutionized Apple device management and changed the perception of Mac in education and enterprises around the world.

Jamf has a straight-forward mission: Help organizations succeed with Apple.

At our core, Jamfs are good people, looking to do the right thing. We focus on two very important values; selflessness and relentless self-improvement. Selflessness inspires Jamfs to always focus on “how can I help others” and relentless self-improvement motivates us to think about “how do I do this better tomorrow”.

We take responsibility and we don’t point fingers or pass blame. We look for team players who know there is no such thing as perfection – only improvement. We are open and respectful to the many different ways we all live and work. We are as enthusiastic about helping someone up after a loss as we are about high-fiving them after a victory.

All voices are critical to the innovative and collaborative work that we do to propel Jamf to be a leader of equality and fairness in the workplace. We believe differences in opinions and ways of thinking are essential in order to achieve global impact for our customers, our communities and our Jamfs. Our products enable people of all ages, cultures, and genders to use technology to educate, care and prosper. We believe in putting the human experience first, supporting and actively creating a diverse workplace allows us to better understand that human experience and the different perspectives of every person.

According to Jobbatical, only 25% of companies set diversity target when creating their hiring strategy. In 2015, Jamf identified diversity targets in order to actively have an organization that better represents an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. In order to measure progress towards those goals, we report the % increase on a quarterly basis to our leadership, Board, as well as company-wide events and communication. Our goal at Jamf is to be a global leader of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. We know we still have areas to improve upon, not only as a company, but the tech industry as a whole, and we are always working hard to foster and support underrepresented groups to encourage those to consider a career in technology.

Equity at Jamf ensures every person has access to the same opportunities. As a foundation, we provide all Jamfs with training to raise awareness about inclusivity and unconscious bias during our employee onboarding process, which was developed to help new hires get started, meet fellow Jamfs, learn about our culture, values, core competencies and generally what it is like to be a Jamf.

Our equity lens is asking ourselves “Who is trying to get in the room but cannot? Whose presence in the room is under constant threat and how do we mitigate this?" One way we have answered these questions are by implementing a formalized sponsorship program for our BIPOC Jamfs to help provide access to leaders and open doors to career growth. We plan to extend this program in the near future to additional underrepresented groups.

It is one thing to strive for a diverse workforce, however, it is another thing to ensure every person at Jamf feels valued and welcomed by being able to freely express themselves.

We aim to create an environment that embraces and celebrates unique perspectives and ideas. Our commitment to create a safe space where everyone is able to express their unique needs and have a voice to help us affect and end injustices in the workplace is unwavering. Every person is empowered to be their whole selves both inside and outside of Jamf. We mean it when we say employees are free to be themselves and work how they work best. We want to ensure Jamf is a place where everyone feels comfortable and can be successful.

Our Employee Resource Groups (Womxn@Jamf, Proud@Jamf, Shades of Jamf, Accessibility@Jamf) help empower employees for safe and authentic expression, to lead projects, events, training and resources to make real, actionable differences at Jamf. Our commitment on becoming a more inclusive and diverse work force is never done.

Jamf has invested in our Employee Resource Groups to provide a safe space for empowerment and cultural education. We also organize regular company-wide DEI events, trainings, speakers, and panel discussions covering meaningful and current topics to educate and empower employees to create change. We encourage employees to use their voice to make real, actionable differences to ensure Jamf is a place where everyone feels comfortable and can be successful both in the office and while working remotely.

In the spirit of selflessness and relentless self-improvement, we constantly strive to progress and continue to evolve our commitment to support equity, diversity, and inclusion. This includes increased funding and support for our Employee Resource Groups, expanded mental health and wellness benefits, and racial justice and anti-racism training for our Jamfs. We see these as promising early steps, but not the final journey.

Recently named a Fortune Best Workplace in Technology, Jamf continues to put people first. At Jamf we pride ourselves on creating an environment where diverse teams thrive, where showing up every day as your true and authentic self is seen as a value. We offer the flexibility needed to balance a career you love with a life well lived. Jamf shows employees care through many informal and daily actions including providing care packages during the pandemic, flexibility from leadership to work how and when we work best, especially during this stressful time when many are balancing work and life needs, and mental health resources and support structures in our benefits plan to ensure mental and behavioral health is a priority and readily available to our employees around the world to remain positive and supported at all times.

In addition, our P.R.O.M Event Committee plans several in-person or virtual events for Jamfs to remain engaged and connected including fun photo contests, an online puppy party, trivia, a virtual magic show and of course, lots of food! We go above and beyond for each other and we help no matter what.

Jamf is mindful and purposeful about being leaders of change for women and people of color in the tech industry. We sponsor and attend events around the globe aimed at attracting and retaining underrepresented groups to consider Jamf and promote the tech industry as a whole. But we know having a presence in these spaces is not enough.

Our internship and mentor programs are designed to bring students into the tech field early on as a potential career path. Many of these students come from communities underrepresented in higher education, and families for which economic reality restricts their access to a quality college- and career-preparatory education. Helping them feel welcomed and engaged is an important initiative whether they stay at Jamf or move on to other organizations.

Our Inclusion & Diversity Program includes a multi-year vision where we are focused on data and impact driven DEI efforts. In addition, we are launching mandatory training leading with inclusion, inclusive hiring, understanding and applying racial justice, and understanding and applying gender equity for all our people leaders in 2022. We are also providing all Jamfs with proactive, action-oriented resources to move beyond understanding bias and towards proactive practices in the workplace that mitigate bias.

We also recognize there is more work to be done, and the journey doesn’t end, it keeps evolving. Our Corporate Responsibility page highlights some of the milestones along the ride. At Jamf, we always pedal, never coast. https://www.jamf.com/corporate-responsibility/

Once an application is received and qualified, a recruiter conducts an initial phone screen. From there, candidates will meet with the hiring manager, as well as others from the department team, for onsite or virtual interviews. Upon selection, an offer is made!

As the situation around Coronavirus continues to evolve, we are working diligently to ensure the safety and health of our employees and job candidates. As an employer who puts people first, we have implemented work-from-home guidelines and resources for our entire global workforce to create a safe work environment. Our recruiting and hiring team is fully equipped to continue meeting our hiring needs, including offering candidates virtual interviews as well as remote onboarding.

We say we care, and we show it. We believe in a healthy work-life balance, offering both generous personal time off as well as volunteer time off to give back to our communities. We are also huge fans of coffee, casual clothes, snacks – and the occasional hijinks.
