THE IMPORTANCE OF DE&I IN OUR WORK & ENVIRONMENT 🌈
Interviewing and hiring candidates from underrepresented groups in cannabis and tech are important to Eaze. We partner with various recruiting platforms and organizations focused on diversity and have made gains in hiring more diverse candidates.
As an organization, we are keenly aware of the injustice of the war on drugs - which for so many years has been used to incarcerate Black and Latinx people on a massive scale. We are always trying to do our part to support these communities, whether it's through the promotion of social equity brands or funding underrepresented cannabis business founders through our accelerator program.
We focus on expanding our social equity menu as a company goal and through our Culture Club committee. We put on programs and events that highlight underrepresented groups. We also have group-specific Slack channels to further provide a safe space for people to share ideas and concerns.
A HAPPY, HEALTHY, SUPPORTIVE SPACE 🧡
We have Culture Club committees with different focuses to ensure that voices from underrepresented backgrounds are being heard. We also have an employee hotline where employees can voice their concerns in a more private setting and HR has has an open-door policy, so employees can reach out with any questions or concerns.
We offer a free mental health visit with a therapist and put on different health and wellness events through the Culture Club. We give monthly Eaze credits and cover 95% of employee's monthly healthcare premium. We also have a comprehensive performance and goal-setting program and are rolling out more learning and development programs so employees have the tools they need to advance in their career.
