We believe that a diverse team with different opinions, backgrounds and experiences ultimately forms the best idea. Our company name leads with the word “dimensional” which simply means having depth. In order for the experiences we create to be remarkable for all who experience them, they must be relevant. We work with our client partners on understanding the needs of the audience they have and those they’d like to attract, realizing that diversity is acknowledging both the presence of differences and similarities.

Equity is providing everyone what they need to succeed. It’s intentional. We at DI don’t automatically assume everyone comes to the table with the same assortment of skills. Through our monthly training and renewed focus on performance management, we are developing a culture that is about meeting people where they are and growing them to rise to their full potential, hopefully at DI and ensuring that people have equal access to opportunities.

Inclusivity we see as actions at DI. True to one of our core values of transparency, we are beginning our DE+I journey. Over the past year, we have created:

  • Created Diversity Dialogues featuring topics related to gender equality, equality, allyship, intersectionality and implicit bias
  • We have a D+I intranet page which we update regularly to educate our DI team members on issues and to provide educational literature or events to broaden their perspectives
  • We have broaden our recruitment channels by building a bridge to colleges, universities and networks that have a high diverse composition so we can improve our internal diversity make-up
  • Through DI Foundations, we're looking for “what matters” and worked with community leaders in the largest minority-populated school district and donated gently used MacBooks, PCs to “PCs for People.”
  • We are an active member and contributor of “The BrandLab” whose mission is to “change the face and voices of the advertising and creative industry” by helping to subsidize the work and grants for students who might be interested in these industries.
  • We began this year, giving employees a floating holiday with the expressed intention of observing any religion or cultural observances that are meaningful to them.
  • We hold monthly Community Table sessions where members of our D+I committee are available to discuss latest topics and learning sessions

There’s so much more we want and will do. We’re just getting started!

SAFETY & EXPECTATIONS FROM OUR LEADERSHIP🚀

An example of this has been our Diversity Dialogues which have been a good way to demonstrate that we want to listen, learn and understand so that we can support one another through advocacy and action. No topic has been edited.

Beyond what has already been mentioned, we have really paid attention to mental wellness realizing that this past year has been hard on all of us regardless of who you are. Our leadership team has:

  • Conducted multiple check-in calls with our remote teams during the height of the pandemic to ask the tangible question “What can DI do to support you right now?”
  • We brought in a counselor resource onsite to help people manage their stress levels
  • We added and subsidized a new mobile counselor resource called “Mindful Blue” to not only help with mental wellness, but also financial well-being as people sometimes faced unexpected financial strain.
  • We’ve created connection events like virtual Bingo (unbelievably popular), and have brought DI favorites like our Free Lunch Fridays (1/month) , Oktoberfest, and recently our Foundation Breakfast all to build community

We are going to continue to seek out networks like Black Tech Pipeline to provide people awareness and access to opportunities at DI. As mentioned previously, we thrive and build our creative momentum by having diverse thoughts in order to solve the most challenging and unique experiences on behalf of our clients.

Paid Leave
We offer paid Parental leave (4 weeks at 100%) which includes fathers and Paid Time Off for Community Service. With the addition of our 4 weeks of Parental Leave beginning 1/1/21, our paid leave for a female following childbirth is now 10-12 weeks depending on delivery type; however the first 6-8 weeks are Short Term Disability and paid at 60% of their weekly salary.
