At CrowdStreet, equity means maintaining an environment where every Builder (employee) can learn, grow, and be recognized for their achievements fairly and consistently. It’s the right thing to do for the incredibly talented people who entrust CrowdStreet with their careers and it’s just as important to our customers as it is to us.

We regularly listen to and learn from, our employees to refine how we practice internal equity. We listen and learn through semi-annual employee engagement surveys, bi-weekly company All-Hands meetings, intentional one-on-ones between managers and their team members, and with AllVoices - an anonymous, anytime feedback solution.

Our semi-annual performance acceleration process ensures each Builder’s performance and promotability are measured equitably and that each one has transparency into how they are being evaluated. Evaluations are focused on what each Builder is contributing, how they are demonstrating our core values (collaboration, respect, and impact), and the steps they are taking to grow professionally. We use the most current and reliable industry compensation data to understand market demands and changes and to ensure we are appropriately valuing each role and compensating each Builder. It’s a high-accountability process that drives internal equity.

2. Phone/Video interview with one of our hiring managers to discuss our technical roadmap and have a more in-depth, technical conversation to better understand our stack and current needs.

3. Take-home exercise (no deadline nor time limit) for you to provide us with an accurate assessment of your skillset and technical abilities.

4. Multi-round team interview to meet other members of the team and potential future coworkers!
