We create, own, and operate a valuable portfolio of products and services. We nurture and preserve each brand's distinctive identity and purpose. At the same time, we drive innovation and leverage our global distribution, creative resources, and operational expertise across all our brands.

Working at Comcast, you'll collaborate with diverse and passionate people to help re-imagine industries, invent new technologies and create extraordinary experiences for our customers.

At the heart of Comcast is our commitment to doing what's right - for our customers and employees. As we continue to move forward and innovate at lightning speed, we remain guided by our shared values.

We believe that a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company is a more innovative and successful one. In June 2020, we accelerated our company’s longstanding commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion with a $100 million commitment to help drive lasting reform and champion a more connected, equitable, and just world. Our culture is built on:

An entrepreneurial spirit - We embrace good ideas and bring them to life quickly. We’re forward-looking and restless in looking for new ways to innovate for our customers.

Doing the right thing and acting with integrity - It’s as simple as doing what’s right and treating people the right way.

Respect for each other - We are committed to a culture of fairness, respect, and inclusion: within our leadership and our workforce, with our customers and suppliers, in our programming, and in the communities we serve.

Giving back - We have a long history of supporting local communities and organizations wherever we do business. We use our voice, resources, and reach to create positive and substantive change in people’s lives in our communities.

At Comcast NBCUniversal, we believe that a diverse culture — and company — brings out the best in our employees and celebrates their unique qualities of gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation, and more. That is why diversity and inclusion (DE&I) is core to ensuring we have the best talent across all demographics and that we are able to innovate and deliver for our increasingly diverse customers. Our aspirational goal is to have 50% women and 33% people of color at every level of our workforce.

Our external Joint Diversity Advisory Council (JDC) has also been an important driver in the success of our DE&I efforts — providing advice to our senior executive teams on the development and implementation of DE&I initiatives across the company. The JDC meets twice a year and includes national business, political, and civil rights leaders who represent African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, women, people with disabilities, and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community and the military community.

We also empower diverse content creators and using our storytelling platforms across Comcast NBCUniversal to deliver programming representative of the audiences we serve. We’ve put the full weight of our company’s media resources behind amplifying underrepresented voices, sharing culturally representative stories, and educating our viewers on diverse and inclusive cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

Destination for Diverse Content– Xfinity has created an unprecedented ecosystem of diverse content, including curated On Demand destinations that bring together a wealth of culturally relevant entertainment choices in easy-to-navigate locations.

Black Experience on Xfinity – Curated by industry leaders, Black Experience – a first-of-its kind destination – features high-quality content from many of Xfinity's existing network partners, while investing millions of dollars in fostering and showcasing emerging Black content creators.

Amplifying Underrepresented Voices & Stories - We are committed to ensuring positive, affirming, and authentic representation and stories in the content we create, produce, and distribute.

Expanding Diverse Content Offerings – We’re continuing to expand the diversity of the content we bring to Xfinity customers. We announced a multi-year carriage agreement and content partnership with REVOLT, the Hip Hop content platform from Sean “Diddy” Combs, and expanded access to AspireTV and the Black News Channel.

Comcast has long been committed to advancing digital equity, closing the digital divide, and addressing both digital literacy and the homework gap. Over the last decade, we’ve connected over 8 million low-income Americans to the Internet at home through Internet Essentials - the nation's largest and most comprehensive Internet adoption program for low-income households. We’re also partnering with leading education and equity-focused organizations to help create greater pathways and new opportunities for underrepresented communities to succeed in an increasingly digital economy. Below are just some of the ways:

Lift Zones – We’ve launched a multi-year program to create more than 1,000 WiFi-connected “Lift Zones” in community centers nationwide, serving as safe spaces where students and families can connect to the Internet and access the tools they need to participate in distance learning.

Expanding Internet Essentials – Over the next 10 years, Comcast is committing $1 billion to reach 50 million people from low-income families with the tools and resources they need to succeed in a digital world.

Public-Private Partnerships to Close the Digital Divide – We launched our new Internet Essentials Partnership Program, focused on enabling cities, school districts, and community-based organizations to connect large numbers of students to broadband access at home.

Committed $40 Million to Support Digital Equity Leaders – We’re partnering with national and local organizations that share our commitment to creating a more connected and equitable world.

We strive to be a company where every member of our network of employees feels welcomed and embraced as their true authentic selves, and one where the many vibrant experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives that make up our special organization are celebrated and valued.

We’re doing that in a number of ways, with a focus on workforce diversity and bolstering support of long-standing DE&I initiatives like talent pipelines, Employee Resource Groups, and employee volunteerism. We’ve launched several new efforts, from our enterprise-wide DE&I Day about implicit bias to our DE&I speaker series featuring renowned subject matter experts and authors.

For Comcast, effecting change starts at home - fostering a culture of inclusion and ensuring all our employees feel supported, embraced, and heard.

Listening & Feedback – We’ve hosted thousands of employee listening sessions, conducted hundreds of interviews with leaders across the company, and are regularly surveying our teammates to learn more about the ways we can improve inclusivity at the company.

DE&I Day – Over 70,000 employees across Comcast NBCUniversal participated in DE&I Day to build understanding within our teams and throughout our company. Together, we learned about unconscious bias and the actions we can take – big and small - to create a more inclusive workplace for all.

DE&I Speaker Series - Designed to educate and inspire, this monthly series features scholars, thought leaders, bestselling authors, and expert speakers discussing a variety of topics centered around diversity and inclusion, racism, and allyship. To date, over 35,000 employees have heard from guest speakers including Karen Caitlin, Eric Thomas, and Wes Moore.

Employee Resource Groups – Our eight Employee Resource Groups engage their membership base of more than 35,000 members at all levels of the organization, empowering employees to drive exceptional business results, while supporting an inclusive, collaborative company culture.
