At Cantilever, we help marketers in mid-sized companies manage their web presence. Many people in these positions are on their own to handle their website with no in house team to help. We are here to recommend, assist, build, design, and test to ensure their website is working the way they need it to.

Diversity means that there is variety. This is extremely important for us at Cantilever because we realize that when you have the same type of person or thing over and over again you lack full knowledge. When you add diversity to a thing or a company you give it the chance to see the world as it really is and not just a figment of it.

Equity means that everyone gets a fair shake. Some need additional assistance because their starting point is so much farther behind others for no fault of their own. This is important because our systems of society benefit some groups and oppress others. If you don't take extras steps to correct this you only contribute to the oppressive systems and you won't be giving people the fair shake they deserve.

Cantilever has been working to create websites that are spaces that everyone can inhabit and enjoy, especially those of the deaf and blind communities. They also deserve access to the web and we strive to create sites that give them the access they deserve.

Inclusivity means you actually practice and provide equal access to opportunities/resources. This is important because each person has a unique view of the world, a unique way to solve problems, and a unique way of walking through life. Inclusivity ensures that you get to experience and benefit from each walk of life, making the collective whole that much better.


Leadership likes to ensure that the team is working from a place of health. Cantilever's culture is very "leave work at work" and encourages team members to take all their PTO each year. Managers have weekly checkins with team members and quarterlies where employee goals are regularly discussed. We hope in the future, as we grow, to be able to provide more benefits and benefits that include mental health as well.

We keep open lines of communication between team members and their managers. This helps catch issues and problems quickly. We also have anti discriminatory and anti-racism policies to ensure that our managers and team members are held to high standards in and out of the workplace. We look for team members who are different from each other which creates a space of safety since we are not all the same. There is space for difference of opinions, lifestyle, and ideas.
