JOIN US IN THE SPACE OF STRATEGIC SECURITY 🛡

AWS is designed to help you build secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure for your applications. World-class security experts who monitor our infrastructure also build and maintain our broad selection of innovative security services, which can help you simplify meeting your own security and regulatory requirements. Our security services and solutions are focused on delivering the following key strategic benefits critical to helping you implement your organization’s optimal security posture:

Prevent 🙅🏽‍♀️

Define user permissions and identities, infrastructure protection and data protection measures for a smooth and planned AWS adoption strategy.

Detect🕵🏻‍♀️

Gain visibility into your organization’s security posture with logging and monitoring services. Ingest this information into a scalable platform for event management, testing, and auditing.

Respond👩‍💻

Automated incident response and recovery to help shift the primary focus of security teams from response to analyzing root cause.

Remediate💆🏽‍♀️

Leverage event driven automation to quickly remediate and secure your AWS environment in near real-time.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING & WHO WE'RE IMPACTING ⚒

AWS is vigilant about your privacy. With AWS you can build on the most secure global infrastructure, knowing you always own your data, including the ability to encrypt it, move it, and manage retention. All data flowing across the AWS global network that interconnects our data centers and regions is automatically encrypted at the physical layer before it leaves our secured facilities. Additional encryption layers exist as well; for example, all VPC cross-region peering traffic, and customer or service- to-service TLS connections.

Extend the benefits of AWS by using security technology and consulting services from familiar solution providers you already know and trust. We have carefully selected providers with deep expertise and proven success securing every stage of cloud adoption, from initial migration through ongoing day to day management.

DIVERSITY | EQUITY | & INCLUSION ✊🏾

D

We are a company of builders who bring varying backgrounds, ideas, and points of view to inventing on behalf of our customers. Our diverse perspectives come from many sources including gender, race, age, national origin, sexual orientation, culture, education, and professional and life experience. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and always look for ways to scale our impact as we grow.

At AWS, we’re changing the face—and the future—of our industry for the better. Women thrive here because of our inclusive culture, leadership opportunities, and strong support initiatives. Today, we remain just as committed to standing together as we were on Day One. To lifting each other up, to championing one another, and to celebrating our breakthroughs and innovations. Because in doing so, we’re all positioned for greatness.

E

We believe that building a culture that is welcoming and inclusive is integral to people doing their best work and is essential to what we can achieve as a company. We actively recruit people from diverse backgrounds to build a supportive and inclusive workplace. We take steps to ensure employees have a sense of belonging, value, and opportunity.

& I

We have 12 affinity groups (employee resource groups) with more than 87,000 employees across hundreds of chapters around the world. We actively recruit diverse candidates through our partnerships with historically Black colleges and universities, Hispanic-serving institutions and women’s colleges, and we have over 40,000 veterans and military spouses working at Amazon.

Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.

CREATING OPPORTUNITY TO HELP BUILD FUTURE LEADERS👩🏽‍💼

We strive to be a top employer for diverse talent and acknowledge that it is up to us to make Amazon a place where these leaders want to grow their careers. We know that representation is critical to accomplishing this goal, and that diverse leaders attract and retain diverse talent. We are investing in growing these leaders from within. This is taking place through big, robust programs, like our $700 million commitment to upskilling, as well as smaller pilots such as the BEN (Black Employee Network) Executive Leadership Development Program, which includes targeted and specialized training to build Black leaders at the Director+ level.

To find the best talent for technical and non-technical roles, we actively partner with organizations and academic institutions that reach underrepresented communities. Through our unique interview process, which is based on our Leadership Principles, we work to understand the diverse perspectives that candidates from all backgrounds bring to Amazon. Some examples of our efforts to recruit women and underrepresented racial/ethnic minority talent include:

🪄Recruiting from diverse colleges and universities (including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), women’s colleges, and tribal colleges) in the U.S.

🪄Hosting hiring fairs and career enrichment summits like Represent the Future, Success is Inclusive, to partner with underrepresented communities around the world.

🪄Bringing college students to Amazon’s campus for programs like the Amazon Finance Diversity Leadership Summit to learn from our finance and accounting leaders, and to interview for finance internships at Amazon.

🪄Partnering with organizations like Grace Hopper Celebration, GEM Consortium Fellows, AfroTech, AnitaB.Org, Lesbians Who Tech, Girls in Tech, AISES, and others.

🪄Creating opportunities for people with disabilities to find success at Amazon, like our silent delivery station in Mumbai, and our partnership with the Northwest Center in Seattle.

🪄Exploring new ways to engage populations of employees, like our all women delivery stations in India, which opened employment and leadership opportunities to women in an area where they were not applying for traditional roles.

🪄Committing to the AARP Employer Pledge for building high performing teams with employees of all ages, and the HBCU Partnership Challenge, to support greater engagement between private companies and HBCUs.

In addition to our hiring efforts, we take a longer term view to provide access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. We know that there are people who may not have access to education on STEM—the subject areas needed for technical careers. At Amazon, we are investing in building the next generation of technical leaders by providing broader access to STEM education, and empowering adults who want to move into technical careers now. Amazon has committed $50M to support STEM programs for underrepresented communities.

INTERVIEW PROCESS 📞

  1. Phone Interview and/or Online Assessment
  2. On-site interview
