Our Work Has Impact 💪🏾

Our tools make it possible for anyone to build a grassroots campaign or movement and give donors an easy and secure way to support their favorite candidates and causes. We believe in the power of people. It’s in our mission and it drives our culture. It takes all types of people to make ActBlue go. We’re a team of software developers, product professionals, political nerds, digital enthusiasts, and customer service champions. Every day we handle tens of thousands of contributions from small-dollar donors. We’re an organization that pushes ourselves and celebrates our wins (ahem . . . another billion raised here…).

OUR ENGINEERING VALUES💻

✨ We believe that ideas are more important than technologies.

✨ We understand that the tools we build have real-world consequences for millions of people and take that responsibility seriously.

✨ We know that code isn’t just a set of instructions for machines, but communication with other humans; style, clarity, and respect are important.

✨ We believe that an ability to balance paying off technical debt and rapidly completing a project contributes to the health of the codebase, engineering team, and organization.

✨ We believe that being correct isn’t enough; respect for your colleagues and users is fundamental.

We Pursue Diverse Perspectives and Ideas 🚨

We work hard to ensure that we have a diverse set of lived experiences, communication styles, and problem solving approaches represented within our teams. We honor the dignity of all and celebrate each person’s unique qualities. We recognize the wide range of human differences, backgrounds, and intersectional identities that enrich the workspace and help us better meet our mission.

We Care for Ourselves and for Each Other 💪🏾

Our work environment supports us as people. We’ve seen that a fun, relaxed and supportive environment has a direct and positive impact on our ability to live our values. Plus, we really enjoy spending time together! We know folks run on different schedules, so we do our best to accommodate the working hours that suit everyone. We are remote-first and offer office space for those that prefer to go in. We encourage overall well-being and use of paid time off to recharge. Part of living our values is making sure that everyone has an opportunity to practice curiosity, adapt and grow. All of our employees get a professional development budget to attend conferences, seminars, or training, enroll in courses, and/or join a professional organization.
